OMG I can't believe it. After all this time I am finally finished painting my family - Baseboards, Trim, Walls...WOW I am so glad I can rest!!!!
My wall after the 2nd coat of paint
Another shot of the wall
Not sure if you noticed - but it's dark outside now in this picture! Yeah I worked that long!!!
ceiling on the far wall
OOPS!!! Looks like my painting may not be done - oh my gosh
Taking the painters tape off slowly and I am still left with this mess
corner on the other side of the room...same problem
a shot of the vents I almost forgot to paint
Some random shots of the room now
YEP watching the skins game!!! Yeah baby we won today too!!!!
Last pic of the wall by the kitchen!
So now all I have to do is peel the remainder of the tape off the wall in this section here, arrange furniture, and I'm done. OOOOOH wait one minute, the ceiling. OMG I have no idea when I want to do it, but it's gotta be soon. I don't want the room to look unfinished, so I guess I have more painting to do after all. The week between Xmas and New Years I want to get that brick painted and the mantel. Hopefully I will have those pics in the near future!!! Another project.........

More paint 11-25-11
OK, so I didn't fall into the whole Black Friday I gotta have that circus. Instead I stayed home and decided that I would start painting that last corner.
Here is the small part that is against the kitchen, I decided to go ahead and do those baseboards and the border on top of the blue.
1st coat of paint
so after a few hours of trim work and painting, I was tired and decided to call it quits for the day.

After another long day of painting...
OK, so after this super long day here's what I was able to do in my family room makeover:
You can see here the paint and primer on the wall. I can not believe what a difference. I thought that primer I was using was bright....but here looks gray.
HAHA...yeah I know it's Barney Ruble, Flintstones kept me company while I was painting.
I started paiting to the right of the frame of the slider
Another shot of the painting.
A shot of the corner on the other side of the room
Here's a pic of the mantel.
Here I am starting to move down the wall, again you can see the primer and paint side by side.

Well I guess now you can see that it's dark outside and here's what I have to show for it.
Coming across the mantel and on top of the fireplace.
Another shot of the mantel
Here's the corner
bottom half of the corner
All the way down the wall now...I never thought I'd get here.
Here's the end of the wall which was also finished with primer this morning and also got a coat of paint.
That's the entrance to the basement, you can see the door is gone now, but it's to make my painting a lot easier. That frame and trim work was a bit@* on my hands to do.
Here's another shot of the area where the slider is. You can see where the paint and primer is here too. So now I will be doing a second coat of paint on the walls and I'll just about be done with all the painting in this room. Then comes the fun part of getting my beach decor in the room.
