OK, so some of you already know that I want to turn my home into a "beach house"! It's the closest I'm going to get to owning a beach house. Anyway, I've been looking for some chairs that would go with this theme w/o breaking the bank.
I decided I would check IKEA and see what they have. I have looked online before, but never found anything that caught my eye! Any way I came across this: CHAIR AT IKEA $69.99
They had the same chair in black but that wouldn't have been beachy....right? So I was very happy that IKEA has this one on display. Well when I sat in it, it wasn't that comfortable....and it was low to the ground. :O(
So I kept standing there staring at the chairs and found this one: IKEA CHAIR 2
which looked like this:
I sat is this chair and it was much better, even my husband agreed. However, it was $99.99. So I stay in the chair and think about it for a while. I decided I would go for it.
Here's me putting them together:

Been outta touch...
WOW, it's been a while since I've posted here. SORRY! I missed you all too! I'm trying to think of some of the things I've been trying to do.
Well I did have that 50th B-day party for my hubby back in May. I was a success that's for sure. Here are the center pieces I made. I used also a mirror square with some flameless tealights. The candle holders I found for a terrific price at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Plus I can use them whenever I want for any other occasion.
So that's how the room was set up. I was able to get a hold of some leather table top coves and they just really completed the look.
So that's about it for the Big Day for my Hubby!!
OH YEAH...I couldn't forget this....THE CAKE!!!!

Centerpieces for Hubby's 50th
Here are the sticks that I got to place the motorcycles on. These were super hard for me to find as I didn't know what they were called. It was a member on here that said I needed candy apple sticks!!! Thank you - who ever that was!!!
So here I am using a hot glue gun on the end of a stick.....getting it ready
That's all 4 sides of the bucket....it says....Roll On The Throttle
While I was at Michaels, I got a new light for my desk too.....I gotta share it.
OK OK...back to business....
Here are the motorcycles all stuck and ready to be used!!!
Here are the motorcycles stuck into the foam...
So my thought was to get shredded foil to put in the bucket to give it some pizazz. So I went to Michaels today with my coupons of course. I was looking at the shredded foil and it was 429 per package. I'm sure I would have needed 10. Anyway I was walking around and I see the easter grass......and I say HOT DAYMN!!!! .69 per bag....yeah that's what I am using. There went the pizaaz!!!
TAADAA that's it folks!!! 1 down 17 to go!!

Cake Carrier
OK, so I've been watching the ladies at smartbuygal.com make the most beautiful cake carriers and I've been nothing but too chicken to make one myself. Finally today I decided it was time to do it. I made it on DS first and then since I used a gypsy font I had to convert the file. Then I sent the file to my gypsy and got my 12x24 mat ready.
Here's the top
The Letter B - as my last name is Bass.
Now for some different angles.
There it is.
